Born and raised in Kentucky, we met a few months short of starting undergrad at the University of Kentucky in 2009. Fast forward through the blur of undergrad and masters programs and we were married on July 12, 2014, making plans to start a life together in Louisville, Ky.
Three years of marriage in Louisville passed as Parker settled into his career as a high school social studies teacher and Annie completed her MD at the University of Louisville. In March, 2017, Annie matched for her medical school residency at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, prompting an 8 hour move further away than we have ever been from Kentucky and from our families.
Somewhere along the way to realizing the magnitude of how far we've come arose the discussion that we should find a way to document this adventure. Something we could look back on one day and view as a diary of sorts.
Our hope is to document as many aspects of this adventure as we can; from food and travel to work-life and lifestyles, doing so in a format that's first and foremost for us, but that we hope others can enjoy as well.
